Hey there, holiday party planners and busy parents! Kinsey here. 🎄✨
If your house in December looks anything like mine, you already have a million things on your plate. Between wrapping gifts at midnight, baking sugar cookies with flour all over the kitchen floor, and coordinating school holiday spirit days, planning games for family gatherings can easily turn into another chore.
Last week I looked through party games on Etsy and noticed shops selling printable holiday game cards for $5 to $8. Most of them only gave you 15 or 20 cards, and almost none of them included a simple shopping list or an ink-saving black and white option for teachers printing for large classes. When you are buying supplies for cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, the last thing you need is a confusing game plan.
I put together this complete set of 44 Christmas minute to win it games printable cards and party activities so you have everything ready in one spot. The free bundle includes 44 full color printable cards, an ink-saving monochrome version, our one-page Dollar Tree grocery checklist, the official how-to-play rules guide, a tournament scorecard, and a holiday champion certificate. You can print them right at home on standard letter paper and start playing.

Why Christmas Minute to Win It games work so well for parties
Minute to Win It games work because they level the playing field. A six-year-old child balancing a cookie on their forehead has just as good a shot at winning as a competitive teenager or uncle. Every round has a hard 60-second timer, so turns move quickly and nobody gets stuck waiting around.
They also keep party costs reasonable. The supplies come from the kitchen pantry or a quick trip to Dollar Tree: plastic cups, mini candy canes, balloons, paper plates, and cotton balls. If you are hosting a larger gathering with kids of different ages, you can also pair these games with our popular Pin the Tail on the Turkey game or keep younger toddlers busy at the craft table with our free Christmas coloring pages and printable Christmas alphabet letters. People who would rather watch than jump around can cheer, time the countdowns, and take photos from the sofa.

Dollar store supply checklist
You do not need supplies for all 44 Christmas minute to win it games. The easiest way to host is to pick 8 to 12 games that share the same items. For example, picking two cup games, three candy cane games, and two balloon challenges means you can run an hour of games on under $12 of materials.
| Store Aisle | Items to Grab | Matches Games |

How to set up your party
Hosting Christmas minute to win it games is wonderfully flexible and fits any living room, church hall, or classroom. You can organize the challenges three different ways depending on your space and crowd size:
1. Individual turns: One player attempts the challenge while everyone else watches the timer and cheers them on. This works well in smaller living rooms or for quiet groups where people prefer not to bump into each other.
2. Head-to-head face-offs: Two players stand side by side and race each other directly to finish the task first before the buzzer sounds. This is great for cousin rivalries or office parties.
3. Team relay format: Divide your guests into two teams, like Team Santa and Team Grinch. Each round, send up one representative from each side. The team with the most points after 10 rounds earns the printable champion certificate.
All 44 Christmas minute to win it games
Here are all 44 games organized into simple categories so you can quickly build your party schedule.
Active movement challenges
1. Jingle Bell Shake: Strap an empty tissue box around the player’s waist with a scarf or belt, and drop 10 jingle bells inside. Without using their hands, the player jumps and wiggles until all ten bells bounce out of the box.
2. Santa Belly Waddle: Place an inflated red balloon between the player’s knees. They must waddle across the room and drop the balloon into a laundry basket without using their hands or popping it.
3. Blindfolded Snowball Scoop: Blindfold the player and have them balance an empty plastic bowl on top of their head. Using a large spoon, they have one minute to scoop cotton balls from a table bowl into the bowl on their head. Because cotton balls have almost no weight, players often scoop air without realizing it.
4. Reindeer Antlers: Teammates race to blow up balloons and stuff them down the legs of a pair of clean pantyhose. One player wears the waistband like a headband to show off their finished antlers.
5. Elf Shoe Kick: Players wear oversized slippers loosely on their feet, standing behind a tape line. By kicking their feet up, they try to land a slipper inside a laundry basket eight feet away.
6. Snowball Stomp Pop: Place white balloons around the room. Players must sit or step on five balloons to pop them without using hands or sharp objects.
7. Santa’s Sleigh Dash: Stack ten stick-on bows on a cardboard box lid. The player pulls the lid across the room by a string without letting any bows slide off.
8. Wrap the Elf: Two players work together to wrap a third teammate from shoulders to ankles in holiday wrapping paper, topping them off with a bow before the timer ends.
Hands-free and face challenges
9. Candy Cane Hook: Put the straight end of a candy cane in your mouth. Using only the curved hook and no hands, pick up four other candy canes from a bowl and set them on a plate.
10. Cookie Face Slide: Place an Oreo on the player’s forehead while they tilt their head back. Using only facial muscles and head tilts, they must wiggle the cookie down into their mouth without dropping it.
11. Nutcracker Balance: Balance three small wrapped peppermints on the flat handle of a spoon held in your mouth, walking across the room without them falling.
12. Candy Cane Relay Pass: Players stand in a line with candy canes held in their mouths. They must pass a single peppermint wreath from one candy cane hook to the next without using hands.
13. Snowman Nose Pick: Dab petroleum jelly onto the player’s nose. Without using their hands, they must dip their nose into a bowl of cotton balls and transfer five balls into a separate cup.
14. Candy Cane Fishing: Tie a candy cane to a piece of string on a wooden ruler. Lower the hook into a pile of ribbon curls to pick up three curls in sixty seconds.
Stacking and building games
15. Cup Tree Challenge: Stack 21 red solo cups into a pyramid shape, with six on the base up to one on top, then take the pyramid down into a single stack before time runs out.
16. Marshmallow Snowman Stack: Build three independent freestanding snowmen by stacking three large campfire marshmallows vertically on a paper plate.
17. Frosty’s Fork Tower: Roll a die and stack that exact number of plastic forks in an interlocking tower on the table in sixty seconds.
18. Christmas Card Castle: Use folded holiday greeting cards to construct a two-story card house that stands for at least five seconds.
19. Holiday Ornament Tower: Stack four shatterproof plastic ball ornaments on top of each other using wide green jar rings or paper napkin rings between them as stabilizers.
20. Gift Bow Balance: Balance seven stick-on gift bows on top of an upside-down plastic cup without the stack toppling.
Tossing and accuracy games
21. Marshmallow Mug Toss: Toss ten mini marshmallows from six feet away into a holiday coffee mug. You need three landed marshmallows to win.
22. Wreath Ring Toss: Hang an artificial holiday wreath over a chair and toss three lightweight plastic rings or glow bracelets through the center hole.
23. Holiday Candy Color Sort: Use a single pair of chopsticks to sort a bowl of mixed red and green candies into separate bowls in sixty seconds.
24. Hang the Ornament: String a piece of ribbon between two chairs. Players race to hang five ornaments onto the string using only wire hooks.
25. Wrapping Tube Roll: Roll an empty cardboard wrapping paper tube across the floor to knock over three standing plastic cups.
26. Blindfolded Paper Tear Tree: Give each player one green sheet of construction paper behind their back. Without looking, they tear the paper into the shape of a Christmas tree. The most recognizable tree wins.
27. Paper Plate Head Sketch: Place a paper plate on your head and draw a Christmas tree, complete with a star on top and presents underneath, without taking the plate off your head.
28. What’s in Santa’s Bag: Place ten mystery household items inside a red pillowcase. Players reach inside with one hand and write down as many correct items as they can identify by feel.
29. Festive Five Frenzy: Blindfolded teammates must locate each other in the room by clapping and successfully high-five five times within one minute.
30. Holiday Speed Pictionary: Draw three holiday carols on paper while your team guesses the titles within sixty seconds.
31. Jingle Bell Chopsticks: Transfer six metal jingle bells from a flat plate into an ice cube tray using chopsticks.
32. Ribbon Thumb Reel: Unroll a ten-foot ribbon across the floor, then wind it back into a tidy spool using only thumbs and index fingers.
33. Stocking Stuffer Tongs: Use kitchen tongs to pick up ten small items from a table and drop them into a hanging Christmas stocking.
34. Candy Cane Ring Toss: Place six candy canes hanging upside down from a table edge. Toss small plastic shower curtain rings to hook onto three candy canes.
35. Gingerbread Speed Build: Construct a small triangular house using three graham cracker squares and a squeeze pouch of white frosting.
36. Ornament Table Edge Roll: Roll three ball ornaments across a table so they stop within six inches of the opposite edge without falling off.
37. Jingle Bell Cup Bounce: Bounce jingle bells off the tabletop and catch two of them inside a plastic cup.
38. Mistletoe Bow Drop: Stand on a chair and drop three stick-on bows into a bowl on the floor below.
39. Blindfolded Gift Wrap: Wrap a small shoe box in wrapping paper and tape while wearing a blindfold.
40. Christmas Carol Hummer: Hum three holiday melodies while your family guesses the song names.
41. Underwater Coin Drop: Drop three quarters through a glass vase filled with water so they land inside a small glass at the bottom.
42. Holiday Card Sort Sprint: Sort a shuffled stack of twenty holiday cards by envelope color within sixty seconds.
43. Snowball Cup Collapse: Build a pyramid of ten cups and knock it completely flat using three rolled socks thrown from ten feet away.
44. Santa Shaving Cream Beard: Spread shaving cream or whipped cream onto a player’s chin and have teammates toss mini marshmallows to stick onto the beard.

Frequently asked questions
What paper works best for printing the game cards?
Standard 20-pound copy paper works fine, but 65-pound white cardstock gives the cards a sturdier feel so they do not bend when players grab them.
How many games should we play at our party?
Eight to ten games is the sweet spot. It takes about forty-five minutes to an hour, which leaves plenty of time for food, gift exchanges, and conversation.
