Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream – free printable
Hey there, party planners! Kinsey here. 🍦✨
If you are looking for a game that guarantees giggles, zero mess, and fits perfectly into a summer birthday bash, you are in for a treat.
This past weekend, my good friend hosted the most adorable Ice Cream Sundae-themed birthday party for her newly-turned 5-year-old. A few days before the party, she called me in a bit of a panic—she had the cake, the sprinkles, and the balloons, but she desperately needed a quick, easy activity to keep a dozen sugar-fueled kids entertained.
Naturally, I jumped into “FunLandJunior mode” and whipped up a sweet twist on a classic party game: Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream!
It was an absolute smash hit. Even my 6-year-old son (who usually abandons organized games in favor of wrestling his friends) got completely into it. My 8-year-old daughter took her turn very seriously, carefully mapping out her steps while blindfolded!

What’s Included in Your Free Download
I wanted to make this as stress-free as possible for you, so the free PDF comes with exactly what you need in two simple pages:
The Game Poster: A giant, high-resolution smiling purple ice cream cone (complete with sprinkles!) on a fun pink background.
The Cherries: A full sheet of perfectly sized, bright red cherries with little green stems, ready to be cut out.
🛠️ Kinsey’s Quick Setup Tips
Print on Cardstock: To make sure the poster holds up to excited little hands, print the ice cream cone and the cherry sheet on heavy white cardstock.
The “Tape Loop” Trick: Instead of push-pins (which are a big nope for a 5-year-old’s party!), just put a simple loop of painter’s tape on the back of each cherry. It sticks perfectly and won’t ruin your walls.
Write Their Names: Before the game starts, grab a Sharpie and write each child’s name directly on the front of their cherry. It makes it so much easier to declare the ultimate winner!
